WIREWORKS
INTRODUCES NEW CABLE ASSEMBLIES FOR MEYER SOUND MM-4 AND MM-4XP
SPEAKERS AT NAB 2009
~Wireworks Cable Assemblies Compatible with Meyer Sound’s
Best-Selling Speakers~
LAS VEGAS, NV, APRIL 20, 2009 -
Wireworks, the
leading innovator of audio/video cabling systems and custom panels,
introduces SPEN and SPE5 Loudspeaker Cords designed
specifically for use with Meyer Sound’s MM-4 and MM-4XP speakers at
NAB 2009 (Booth
C4147).
Wireworks newest additions to its speaker cable line
are typically used with Meyer Sound speakers, while SPEN cords can
also be employed anytime small, secure speaker cords are required.
Wireworks SPEN cords
are designed for use with
Meyer Sound’s MM-4
speakers, utilizing 2-pole EN3 water-resistant connectors.
Available in both link and extension configurations, SPEN cords are
manufactured in a variety of standard lengths ─ custom lengths to
order. Each assembly features two 16-gauge, 26-strand conductors in
a round matte-finish flexible jacket to deliver high-quality speaker
level signals with minimal signal loss.
Wireworks SPE5 cords
are constructed to accommodate both the power and audio signal
requirements needed for Meyer Sound’s
MM-4XP
Self-Powered Miniature Loudspeakers.
The cords feature a 5-pole EN3 water-resistant connector on each
end. The cable contains one 18-gauge pair for power to the speaker
and one 22-gauge shielded pair for the audio signal.
The EN3 connectors
feature gold-plated contacts for excellent signal transmission in a
tough thermoplastic fiber body with positive locking ring. Meeting
a number of harsh weather environmental ratings, EN3 connectors
provide water-resistant speaker connections for a wide range of both
indoor and outdoor applications such as mobile broadcast, sports
broadcast and live events.
Both SPEN and SPE5
Loudspeaker Cords are manufactured in link versions, which connect
speakers together, and extension versions, which allow the cables to
be extended. SPEN and SPE5 cords are available in a variety of
standard lengths with custom lengths to order. As with all
Wireworks cable assemblies, these new loudspeaker cable assemblies
can be manufactured with custom Bandits® for easy identification.
“Wireworks created
its newest loudspeaker assemblies to meet the needs of our customers
who rely on Meyer Sound’s MM-4 and MM-4XP speakers for a variety of
applications,” says Gerald Krulewicz, president of Wireworks.
“Wireworks SPEN and SPE5 cables offer great convenience and
reliability for users who employ these industrial series speakers in
both indoor and outdoor venues.”
